The 520c Chemistry and Water Quality Monitor
is an easy to use and calibrate hand held battery operated multifunction water quality instrument with a clear digital display. The 520c can be fitted with individual electrodes suitable for field and laboratory use and supplied with manuals and an AC adaptor.

Features
Use the 520c to make simple, accurate measurements in the laboratory or in the field. This lightweight, portable unit is capable of accepting a wide selection of individual electrodes and gives an instantaneous display of values. The instrument includes a basic datalogging function and a continuous output facility to drive a printer. Automatic adjustment in calibration mode allows quick servicing and one touch operation of the keypad ensures that the 520c is a simple, cost-effective alternative which gives multifunctional capabilities in the palm of your hand.

Multifunction
With a choice of measuring pH, dissolved oxygen, conductivity/salinity/TDS, turbidity/TSS, temperature, flow or ion concentration in one versatile unit, you reduce the number of instruments needed for general laboratory applications. This means less bench and storage space is required, and a single instrument also reduces your training and maintenance needs.

Easy to operate
The 520c is quick and easy to use with the minimum of keystrokes needed to perform each function. At switch on, the instrument performs a self-test to ensure it is operating correctly. Simply connect your chosen electrode, select the parameter and measurements units via the keypad and the instrument is ready for operation.

Clear digital display
The LCD displays measured parameters, in a range of engineering units, simultaneously with temperature, battery status, calibration points; minimum, maximum and average readings are also shown. Dissolved oxygen is displayed as %saturation, mg/l or ppm; conductivity as l S, mS, ppm or ppt; turbidity as NTU or mg/l; temperature as ) C or ) F; flow as m/sec or ft/min and selective ions as ppm, ppt or mV. Units are selected on the keypad. Battery voltage can also be checked and a low battery condition is indicated automatically.

Simple calibration
Single key operation with pre-set calibration points makes calibration easy and reliable.

Rugged and portable
The 520c is lightweight and portable, making it comfortable to use. The tough, moulded ABS case is splashproof to IP54.

Dry cell or rechargeable batteries
Either dry cell or NiCad rechargeable batteries may be used. Alternatively the 520c may be connected to an external battery or ac adapter giving you a choice of power sources. To conserve battery life the 520c will optionally power down after 10 minutes if no action has occurred.

Location coding facility
Up to 50 data points, plus temperature can be stored together with a numeric site code to denote the location at which the measurements was made. The measurements can be recalled later, either on the display or for printout.

Analogue and RS232 outputs
Analogue and RS232 digital outputs mean you can output readings to a chart recorder or serial printer for hard copy records. You can print out readings automatically at pre-set intervals continuously.

A wide choice of compatible electrodes means you can tailor the 520c to your specific needs, allowing you to extend the scope of your instrument to meet your new requirements.
