The WP4007 Chemistry and Water Quality Monitor
The WP4007 is a portable, self-contained instrument that can be used in conjunction with suitable electrodes, to measure and datalog a wide range of water quality parameters.
The WP4007 accepts the input from the 803PS multi-parameter Sonde as well as from individual electrodes.
Up to 32 channels are available to monitor water quality parameters (for example, pH conductivity, temperature, dissolved oxygen, ion concentration or turbidity) and these measurements can be displayed by stepping manually through a selection of electrodes connected to the WP4007 or scanned, either at regular time intervals or by using event triggered signals.
User control is provided by a 20-key keypad, or computor controled when used with the dedicated CS6 soiftware.
Parameters that can be measured by the WP4007 are determined by the probes and electrodes that are available and LMS water manufacture/ supply a wide range of these probes for use with the WP4007. With a choice of measuring pH, dissolved oxygen, conductivity/salinity/TDS, turbidity/TSS, temperature, flow, ion concentration and depth in one versatile unit. This will reduce the number of instruments needed for general laboratory and feild applications.
OEM probes can also be used with the WP4007 provided they have a compatible specification.
Easy to operate
The WP4007 is water proof to IP67 and easy to operate with the minimum of keystrokes needed to perform each function. At switch on, the instrument performs a self-test to ensure it is operating correctly. Simply connect your chosen electrode, select the parameter and measurements units via the keypad and the instrument is ready for operation.
Clear digital display
The LCD displays measured parameters, in a range of engineering units, simultaneously with temperature, battery status, calibration points; minimum, maximum and average readings are also shown. Dissolved oxygen is displayed as %saturation, mg/l or ppm; conductivity as l S, mS, ppm or ppt; turbidity as NTU or mg/l; temperature as ) C or ) F; flow as m/sec or ft/min and selective ions as ppm, ppt or mV. Units are selected on the keypad. Battery voltage can also be checked and a low battery condition is indicated automatically.
Keypad operation with pre-set calibration points makes calibration easy and reliable. The pre-set calibration points can be changed if required.
Rugged and portable
The WP4007 datalogger has a rugged ABS case which is waterproof to IP67, and is capable of reliable operation over the temperature range -10°C to +55°C.
The WP4007 is powered by three C size (LR14) alkaline batteries or a NiMH rechargeable pack. An external A.C. adaptor (AA3) or D.C. supply (6 to 10V) can be used. To conserve battery life the WP4007 will optionally power down after 10 minutes if no action has occured.
An RS232 digital output means you can send your data to a PC for further analyses.
Analogue outputs are available via the MX8000 multiplex unit.
A single alarm output is available from the WP4007 data logger or multi alarm output via the MX8000.
